Chris Li is the Founder and Aviation Journalist at TAN ZONE. Chris founded TAN ZONE in 2023, leading aviation content creation.

 

An award-winning photographer and cinematographer, Chris is best known for Urban Frames, an internationally exhibited photography series featuring images captured during his travels and time living in cities around the world. His photographs have received recognition from Vogue magazine and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.

 

A journalist and avgeek, Chris founded TAN ZONE, producing critical aviation analysis grounded in firsthand flight experiences. He oversees end-to-end production, including concept development, scripting, filming, post-production, distribution, and marketing. He also conducts original reporting through firsthand flight experiences and direct access to industry leadership, including executives from Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Delta, and JetBlue.

 

Beyond his professional work, Chris is a undergraduate at Northwestern University double majoring in communication studies and economics. He enjoys traveling, photography, running marathons, and learning languages.
